For temporary relief of burns
A serious burn on the skin is one of the most traumatic injuries that the body can sustain. The skin is the body’s largest organ, and one of its most complex. Among other things, it helps to regulate temperature and it serves as the first line of defense against infection.
There are three basic classifications of burns on the skin, each varying in severity. First-degree burns affect only the outer layer of the skin, causing redness and sensitivity to the touch. Sunburn is usually a first-degree burn. Second-degree burns extend somewhat into underlying skin layers, and are characterized by redness, blistering, and acute pain. In third-degree burns, the entire thickness of the skin and possibly underlying tissues, such as muscle, are destroyed. The skin may be red, or it may be white or yellowish, or leathery and black. There is usually little or no pain because the nerves in the skin are severely damaged.
Arsenicum Album 12X – Acute and chronic burns. Sudden intense effects. Pains are maddening, burning like fire, hot needles or wires. Burning pains.

Calendula Officinalis MT – Superficial burns and scalds. Promotes healthy granulations and rapid healing by first intention. A most remarkable healing agent.
Cantharis 12X – Valuable remedy for burns and scalds. Raw, burning pains. Burns and scalds with rawness and smarting, relieved by cold applications, followed by undue inflammation. Sunburns, severe.
Causticum 12X – Burning, rawness and soreness. Old burns that do not get well and ill effects from burns. Pains of burns.
Hypericum Perforatum 30X, MT – Nervous depression following wounds, effects of shock and fright. Injury to nerves. Painful scars in tissues rich in nerves.
Picricum Acidum 12X – Burns of the first and second degree. Prickling as of needles. Burning in many parts. Numbness.
Urtica Urens 12X – Burns of the first degree. Burns and scalds. Sunburn with intense burning, itching. Burn confined to skin.
