What are Bio-Identical Hormones?
Bio-identical means that the hormone is identical chemically and structurally to the hormone produced by the human body. Bio-identical hormones are derived from plants either soy or yam and are recognized by the body as if they were produced in the ovaries, testes, or adrenal glands. Side effects are minimized and are usually only seen when dosage levels are incorrect.
